Recording and sharing Gospel music is personally rewarding to me, however I insist on giving all the glory back to God. He is the one who gave me the talent and ability to express His love, goodness and mercy through music, and I pray that my music portrays my glorification. Writing and singing gospel music comforts me because it is a reflection of who I am. I draw strength from the music. Also, it's about sharing. It feels good to share what's inside of me through music. When I sing, I feel God's pleasure. My songs speak the life I live for Jesus Christ.

Welcome to For His Praise, where I give honor and glory to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. My mission is to use this wonderful gift of music that God gave me to share with Christians around the world, and to compell through my music those seeking salvation through Jesus Christ.
I have served 52 years as the head musician and organist of the New Covenant Church in Cedar Creek, TX. The past 21 years have been served under the leadership of Pastor Eddie E. Willis, Sr. I love leading our congregation in songs of worship and praise, and accompanying our choirs and soloists.

My husband, Charles Banks, Sr. and I were married 48 years until the Lord took him home on October 1, 2020. I am thankful for our two sons, two daughters, a son-in-law and two daughters-in-law; seventeen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Below is a video in tribute to what would have been 0ur 50th wedding anniversary on September 29, 2022. I composed the song "Gone But Not Forgottten" to accompany the video. I hope this will touch your heart and soul.
It has been on my heart for some time to record an album of old traditional hymns with a touch of contemporary music blended in. No matter what new songs are composed, I just can't get away from songs such as "The Old Rugged Cross", "There Is A Fountain", "Blessed Assurance", etc. Lord willing, my next album will include some old and new. Most of all, I just want my music to be a blessing to the hearers; to encourage believers to continue their walk in the Lord, and to compel others to seek Him.
